LESSON: JACOB STEALS THE BLESSING. FOCUS: Isaac wanted to bless Esau, but Jacob and Rebekah deceived him into blessing Jacob instead. God's will was accomplished in spite of the sinful methods used by Jacob and Rebekah. The consequences of their deception led to Esau wanting to kill Jacob and Jacob fleeing to Rebekah's brother for safety. PASSAGES: Genesis 27:41-44. Memory Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."
